Who We Are
My name is Chrissy Lambert and I am a freelance Makeup Artist based in the lower Mainland. I was born in Saskatoon and moved to BC in 2000. As long as I can remember, I have always loved to color, draw and paint. I took art lessons for several years and constantly found myself drawing faces and people. I never felt passionate about painting landscapes or wildlife. People’s faces were all so unique and extremely interesting to me.
I stumbled across a Makeup Artist’s book and in it, he described the principles of Makeup Artistry in a way that was so similar to the principles of drawing. The concept of highlight and shadows, and creating shapes triggered something familiar in me and I felt like this could be a path of interest. I’ve always loved fashion, modeling and all things girly and decided to pursue my interest further.
I moved to BC with the intention of pursuing a career as a Makeup Artist and attended the Blanche McDonald Centre in Vancouver in 2003, where I earned my diploma as a Makeup Artist. During the program, I had the opportunity to learn everything from basic makeup to theatrical makeup, airbrushing, special effects and much more.
Since then, I have worked with so many amazing people and have expanded my knowledge further by attending expert seminars offered through Lancome and Master Classes through M.A.C. I have met some amazing photographers and have done makeup work for magazines, fashion shows and bridal parties galore!!
I love teaching what I know and sharing my tips and tricks and am happy to provide someone with an AHA! moment.
I created my company, Makeup Infusion, in 2007. Infusion is defined as “The act of infusing or introducing a certain modifying element or quality.” Makeup Infusion is a blend of Personal Style and Custom Makeup, which means that I leave your personal style intact and add my makeup skills to create a customized look that works perfectly for you.
I am also proud to say that I have contributed my beauty expertise, silly humor and makeup tips for over two years by writing a beauty article called Beyond Beauty. This column is featured in the Style section of the Abbotsford News.
I love what I do and love helping make a difference in someone’s else's life through makeup. It may seem superficial to some, but to me, it’s such an amazing tool to help a woman feel confident and beautiful, inside and out. That’s worth it all to me!
Oh yeah, I can’t forget… the best part of all this is that your makeup washes off
at night and provides you with a fresh palette first thing in the morning. Just the thing a woman needs to play, try something new and be the woman she wants to be!
